Sometimes, we get caught....

Sometimes, when we do something, we want people to notice us....sometimes, we don't! Just the other day, on the way home from the men's prayer meetin', someone noticed a familiar scene. Maybe it's because it happened to them, maybe just because it happens a lot. This is a classic scene that might happen to anyone not entirely within the parameters of the law. Speaking of law, aren't you glad that we're not under 'The Law' anymore, but under grace?! The only ones that would be able to identify this particular person are the ones that 'know' him/her. If I could give clemensy for law breakers, all law breakers, then you might think that the law would be useless. But it's not. The Law is a schoolteacher to show us that we need a Saviour. Thank you Lord for the grace that You provide to account for our sins!

Scott Update

For those of you who haven't heard from Angela about what's going on with Scott, here is the latest from her visit yesterday. Please continue to hold our brother and sister in Christ up in prayer, and consider writing a letter of encouragement to them.

Hello Everyone,
I am very sorry that I haven't had much news for you about Scott, but I do now. I went to see him this past Saturday and he shared some much needed prayer requests and a few praise reports that I am blessed to pass on to you all.

I'll start with the praise, since it's Easter Sunday and all. Scott is blessed to be teaching 2 bible studies a day with a young brother who is on fire for Jesus. Also, Scott was able to share the gospel and to lead an inmate to the Lord. Scott said that there is a great need for the inmates to be told about Jesus.

So the first prayer request is that more workers would be sent into the prisons, and not as inmates!

Scott has also been immersed in the word and is keeping his eyes where they need to be on Christ. Please pray for Scott to continue to be faithful, obedient and confident in the ministry that the Lord is calling him in to.

Scott might get to visit Melissa before he is transferred so please pray God's favor in that. Praise God that they have been able to correspond by letter.

Scott said that he will be transferring soon. He said it could be today, Easter Sunday, and if not today then next Sunday for sure, so if you want to visit him go this Saturday 1-3 and hopefully he will still be there. When I went there was no line and he came out quickly. He has one hour to visit and only one person at a time can go in but you can alternate people if there are more than one that want to see him. Bring your drivers license or id card, and you can pick up a visitors form at the guard table if you are unable to download it.

The next prayer request was that his paperwork would process quickly and that he would not be stuck in "reception" for too long. He said that "reception" is not a good place to be and it can take up to 6 months to process so please pray for God's favor in this and for Scott's protection while he is there.

Scott will eventually end up at Delano jail in Delano, CA, and I will get the info to you as soon as I know anything. He said that for the next 2 months he will be unable to write or make any calls, so please pray during this time for God's strength to be with him. He will still get letters forwarded to him once he is processed, so please write to him if you haven't already, and if you have God bless you and keep them coming.

Once he reaches Delano they have a program called "Fire Camp" that Scott wants to be in. If he gets in it will cut his time down to 1 and a half years I believe is what he said. So please pray the Lord's will in that as well.

Well, I hope that I didn't forget anything, and if you want info on Melissa, just let me know and I will add you to her updates as well. God bless you all and Scott and Melissa both appreciate all of your love, support and prayers.

In His love,
Angela
